Clinic construction underway
We felt that Fulbourn was a fantastic spot to locate our new clinic. The village has a great local community but is also easily accessible to Cambridge and the surrounding area.
After a long search, a fantastic property became available, in Cox’s Drove. We instantly fell in love with the tranquil setting, opposite the flood meadow, and were drawn to the tucked away privacy of the location.
The clinic started out as a joiner’s workshop and car mechanics business. After many months of planning, agonising over design features and organising investment, the building works began in December 2011.
The demolition phase of the project proceeded rapidly and soon the clinic begun to take shape. Once the internal stud walls were in place, the layout and the space available became much clearer.
We have encountered a few hitches along the way, but so far the build is going to plan. The clinic has all new windows, new plumbing and wiring and is mostly plastered. Decorating is in progress and external rendering is being applied, complete with new guttering.
The flooring is going in soon and the external works are scheduled to start any day now.
We have been dreaming about the clinic for nearly four years and feel so excited that it is finally becoming a reality…
