Here Comes The Sun!

We all feel happier for seeing the sun come out.  There are few sights more heart-warming than a cat snoozing in the garden or basking in the warm sun on their favourite windowsill.  However, some cats can get sunburn just like us.  Cats with white ears and pink noses lack the protective pigment melanin and so are very vulnerable to sun damage.  Over time, UV damage can lead to skin cancer on the ears or nose.

You can help prevent this by ensuring there are nice shady spots for your cat to lie in and keeping your cat indoors during the hottest part of the day.

Applying a cat friendly sunscreen to the ears or nose can also help.  We stock several cat-safe products to keep your kitty safe in the sun.
