Meet the Team
Your Vets
Mini grew up in a household where pets were part of the family. She graduated from Cambridge University in 2001 and loves all aspects of being a vet, but found that cats had a certain special something and so developed a passion for her feline patients.
She loves investigating and managing challenging medical cases as well as surgery, feline dentistry and ophthalmology. Exemplary anaesthesia and pain control are major interests and she is also a qualified veterinary acupuncturist. She holds the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Medicine and is a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Science (feline chapter), an internationally recognised qualification in cat medicine. She is an RCVS recognised advanced practitioner in small animal medicine and a member of the ISFM academy of feline practitioners. Mini shares her home with a very affectionate cat, Douglas, and much loved dog, Fraggle.
Lucie is originally from Miami, Florida and qualified from the University of Florida in 2010. She moved over to the UK shortly after graduating with her four cats (and husband) in tow! After 2.5 years at a general practice in London, Lucie moved ‘Up North’ to pursue her passion of working with cats at a cat only clinic in Durham. She has worked in feline exclusive practice ever since (as well as some time working for a home visiting mobile veterinary clinic) and has taken exams in feline internal medicine to qualify as a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (Medicine of Cats). Lucie is also very interested in feline behaviour and has achieved the ISFM Advanced Certificate in Feline Behaviour. In fact, she loves behaviour so much that she is currently studying at the University of Lincoln to obtain a Masters degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour (with the aim to eventually become a certified clinical animal behaviourist specialising in Feline Behaviour).
